The Sun

I’m not a morning person, but when I occasionally wake up early to watch the sunrise, I always stand in awe of God’s beauty and majesty.  For it was the fourth day that God created the sun and set it in motion.  Along with the sun, he created the moon and the stars.   They were designed with a purpose to “serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years” (Genesis  1:14).  The sun was created to give signs of the seasons, but also to give light during the day.  Because of that light we have life sustained on this incredible earth. 

Faithful

Faithful is a reminder of just how faithful the Lord is to us.   Since the dawn of creation, the sun has risen and set.  Whether we see it or not, the sun is always there and never fails to do what God intended it to do.  Like the sun, Jesus is also faithful and will never fail us.  Our faith may be tested but Jesus promises to never leave or forsake us.  The Bible has many examples of God’s faithfulness and promises, which have been proven time and time again.   

What promises does the Lord have for you?  

Remember, “…the Lord is faithful to all his promises…” (Psalm 145:13).  And God’s promises are always yes and amen.  “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so through him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God” (2 Corinthians 1:20).

Let’s say “Amen” to the “Yes” of God’s promises through Jesus and “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.”  Amen!
